Good morning Turing Class!

I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend.

We are now starting the 6th week of home learning. I hope you’re safe and well and have been having a go at the learning. Remember if you are struggling with anything or just want to send me an update you can send me a message on the class email.

Today would have been the start of SATs week. Please know that your efforts this year have not gone to waste – I’m extremely proud of you all and how far you have come.

See the table below for today’s learning.

Just a reminder that it is really important that you continue to read and practise the timetables every day. I know this is not in the table but this must be done daily.

Remember if you don’t have a home learning pack you will need to complete the work in your own notebook or on a piece of paper.

If you have any learning-related questions email me on You can also send me pictures of your learning or things you have been doing whilst at home.

LI: To solve decimal multiplication questions.

Write the date, Roman numeral date and the LI in your maths home learning book (or on paper if you do not have a home learning pack).

Today, you will build on last week’s learning by multiplying decimal numbers by a 2-digit.

When multiplying decimals, you must remember to put the decimal point in otherwise you will get the answer wrong.

Answer the questions from either the red, blue or gold worksheet (make sure you choose the correct worksheet).

Complete the ‘Silly SATs SPaG’ test. It’s a little bit of fun and I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.

Send me your completed versions – I would love to mark them! smiley

Task 1:

Ask an adult to test you on the spellings from the last week. If you get any wrong, write the word/s three times and put it in a sentence.

Task 2:

Spellings for this week to be put in your spelling book and practised as normal are:

The spellings this week are words that end in the suffix ‘ibly’.

We replace the ‘le’ ending of an adjective with ‘ly’ for it to become an adverb.

Task 3:

Write the definitions for all the spellings either in your spellings book or at the back of your literacy home learning book.

LI: Happiness

Turn to the back of your literacy home learning books and write the long date and LI.

Today, you are going to continue to focus on the word HAPPINESS.

Under today’s date and LI, I would like you to write your own definition of happiness.

Then, I would like you to write all the things that make you happy. You can either create a mind map or write this in a list.
