Good morning Turing Class! 


I hope you’ve all had a safe and lovely half term break. I’m missing you all so much.


I hope you’re ready for this week’s home learning. 


Remember, if you are struggling with any of the home learning or just want to send me an update you can send me a message on the class email. 


See the table below for today’s learning. 


Just a reminder that it is really important that you continue to read and practise the times tables every day. I know this is not in the table but this must be done daily.


Remember if you don’t have a home learning pack you will need to complete the work in your own notebook or on a piece of paper.

LI: To understand the ratio language. 


Write the date, Roman numeral date and the LI in your maths home learning book (or on paper if you do not have a home learning pack). 


This week, we are going to focus on ratio using White Rose Maths.


Today, you will be learning the ratio language. Click on the link below to take you to the White Rose website for today's learning.


I would like you to complete Week 1, Lesson 1 – Using ratio language. 


Watch the video first before answering the questions (you can find a copy in the resource section). 





LI: To identify hyperbole, similes and metaphors.


Write the long date and the LI in you literacy home learning

book or on a piece of paper. 


Today, you are going to be using BBC bitesize learn about hyperbole, similes and metaphors. The link below will take you directly to today’s learning on the BBC bitesize website. Follow the learning then complete the activities in your book.


I have put activity 3 in the resource section. 







Task 1: 

Ask an adult to test you on the spellings from the last week. If you get any wrong, write the word/s three times and put it in a sentence. 


Task 2: 

Spellings for this week to be put in your spelling book and practised as normal are:



This week’s spellings are words ending in ‘er’, ‘or’ and ‘ar’.


Task 3: 

Write the definitions for all the spellings either in your spellings book or at the back of your literacy home learning book. 






Wellbeing and the news


Today, you are going to learning about the link between wellbeing and the news. 


I would like you to go through the PSHE – Wellbeing and the news information document. 


This is a reflective lesson – you do not need to write anything down in your books. 





Today’s PE is for you either take part in the PE with Joe or go onto the Go Noodle website/YouTube channel and do you favourite dances. 



You can do this at 9am when Joe Wicks is live on his YouTube channel or you can do it later by clicking on today’s PE lesson video.
