Good morning Turing Class and Happy Star Wars Day!

I hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend.

We are now starting the 5th week of home learning. I hope you’re safe and well and have been having a go at the learning. Remember if you are struggling with anything or just want to send me an update you can send me a message on the class email.

See the table below for today’s learning.

Just a reminder that it is really important that you continue to read and practise the timetables every day. I know this is not in the table but this must be done daily.

Remember if you don’t have a home learning pack you will need to complete the work in your own notebook or on a piece of paper.

If you have any learning-related questions email me on You can also send me pictures of your learning or things you have been doing whilst at home – I will be putting these on the website.

LI: To solve multiplication questions.

Write the date, Roman numeral date and the LI in your maths home learning book (or on paper if you do not have a home learning pack).

Today, you will be revisiting column multiplication – multiplying 3, 4, and 5-digit numbers by a single digit.

Answer the questions from either the red, blue or gold worksheet (you know which one to choose).

LI: Grammar revision.

Today’s literacy activity is for you to complete the grammar revision worksheet.

You can complete this in your home learning books or if would prefer to complete it on the worksheet you can print it out.

I have put the answers in the ‘answers’ section but if you would prefer me to mark it, send it to the class email.

Task 1:

Ask an adult to test you on the spellings from the last week. If you get any wrong, write the word/s three times and put it in a sentence.

Task 2:

Spellings for this week to be put in your spelling book and practised as normal are:

The spellings this week are words that end in the suffix ‘ible’.

The suffix ‘ible’ is usually used when there is no apparent root word or when the suffix can’t be removed. These words don’t make sense when you split them up – for example poss + ible – possible. However there are exceptions to this rule.

Task 3:

Write the definitions for all the spellings either in your spellings book or at the back of your literacy home learning book.

LI: Wellbeing

Turn to the back of your literacy home learning books and write the long date and LI.

Today, you are going to continue to focus on the word WELLBEING.

Last week, you looked at the meaning of wellbeing and how things impact your own and others wellbeing.

I would like you to think of something that makes you feel anxious, stressed or worried. What causes this feeing?

Now I would like you to think of a time when you felt calm and happy. What made you feel that way and why?

Today’s task is to write as many ways you can think of that will help you cope with a stressful situation. You can either create a mind map or write this in a list.

Today’s PE is for you either take part in the PE with Joe or go onto the Go Noodle website/YouTube channel and do you favourite dances.

You can do this at 9am when Joe Wicks is live on his YouTube channel or you can do it later by clicking on today’s PE lesson video.
