Oldham Story Festival

1:             The Three Little Pigs

 

  • Story read by Sam Glen – A Local actor who’s most recently performed at the Coliseum Theatre as Jack in ‘Jack and the Beanstalk
  • Rhyme Time – A song based activity led by a member of the Oldham Central Library Children’s team – Connected to the theme
  • Creative Stories – An art based activity led by a member of the Gallery Oldham  Education Team- Connected to the theme
  • Story Square  - An interactive story session led by Ellie Purtill, a member of the Oldham Theatre Workshop Team – Repeated Activity Each Day to support learning
  • Downloads – There will be a colouring in sheet for each story as well as the text of each story of the day.

 

2:           Goldilocks and the 3 Bears

 

  • Story read by Sue Devaney – A Local actor who’s most recently performed in the national tour of ‘Calendar Girls’ and ‘Coronation Street’
  • Rhyme Time – A song based activity led by a member of the Oldham Central Library Children’s team – Connected to the theme
  • Creative Stories – An art based activity led by a member of the Gallery Oldham  Education Team- Connected to the theme
  • Story Square  - An interactive story session led by Ellie Purtill, a member of the Oldham Theatre Workshop Team – Repeated Activity Each Day to support learning

3:           The Gingerbread Man

 

  • Story read by Olivia Cooke – A Local actor who’s most recently starred in Steven Speilberg’s ‘Ready Player One’ and ITV’s ‘Vanity Fair’
  • Rhyme Time – A song based activity led by a member of the Oldham Central Library Children’s team – Connected to the theme
  • Creative Stories – An art based activity led by a member of the Gallery Oldham  Education Team- Connected to the theme

4:           Hunt for the Giggle

  • Story read by Sarah Nelson – A local writer and practitioner who also wrote the book. She is currently part of the BBC Writers Room project
