QUOTE OF THE DAY
Good morning everyone!
See the table below for today’s learning.
Just a reminder that it is really important that you continue to read and practise the timetables every day. I know this is not always in the table but this must be done daily.
Remember if you don’t have a home learning pack you will need to complete the work in your own notebook or on a piece of paper.
If you have any learning-related questions email me on firstname.lastname@example.org. I would be really good to see some of your learning so if an adult allows you to, you can send me pictures of your learning or things you have been doing whilst at home – I will be putting these on the website.
LI: To round numbers.
Write the date, Roman numeral date and the LI in your maths home learning book (or on paper if you do not have a home learning pack).
Today, you will be recapping on rounding numbers, including decimal numbers.
Click on the following links – these will take you to the BBC Bitesize website where it has information and videos to help learn about rounding.
Remember, when you are rounding if the number is 5 or more you round up. If the number is 4 or below the number stays the same.
Round to the nearest whole number
4.2 5.7 7.5
Answer: 4 6 8
Round to the nearest tenth
4.26 5.74 7.58
Answer: 4.3 5.7 7.6
Try to complete all the questions on the worksheet.
LI: To edit my writing.
You do not need to write the date or LI today.
Today, you are going to edit your writing from yesterday about Hulk’s day off. I have created a PowerPoint, which includes all the editing stations, for you to go through and make edits as required.
Make sure you add your edits in a different colour pen so I can see your edits.
It would be great to see some of your writing! If you can, take a picture of your work and send it to the class email.
LI: To research music from the past.
Turn to the back of your literacy book and write the long date and LI.
Today, you are going to be researching music from different years.
Your task is to find out everyone’s birthdays and year that they were born in your family. Use this information to then find out what song was Number 1 in the charts and what other popular songs were around at that time. Write this information under today’s date and LI.
Challenge: Why not learn the lyrics and sing their favourite song or create a dance routine to their favourite music.
here are learning together activities, mini missions and interactive learning games for you to have a go at.
You can send your completed learning to the class email to be marked and to receive feedback.
