Woodhouses

Voluntary Controlled Primary

Special Educational Needs

At Woodhouses Primary, we are proud to be an inclusive school where every child is recognised as unique and valued for who they are. Through our comprehensive approach to SEND, we aim to provide a secure, caring and happy environment where all children can flourish.

Our SEND curriculum is designed to be ambitious and challenging, helping every child to reach their goals and lead happy, successful lives. We are committed to removing barriers to learning and making reasonable adjustments so that all pupils can access the full curriculum and participate fully in every aspect of school life.

We believe in equality of opportunity for all, where everyone is treated with respect and dignity. We value the voices of our children and their families, ensuring they are fully involved in decision-making and have the opportunity to influence positive change.

Our SENDCo is Mrs. Laura Killion, and our SEND Governors are Mr. Phillip Lowe and Mrs. Louise Carter.
Mrs. Killion works closely with class teachers and the Senior Leadership Team to ensure effective support for all children across the school.

For more information, please see our SEND Information Report, which explains how we identify and support children with special educational needs.
