World Book Day

We have had a fantastic time celebrating World Book Day. The children created a 'Book in a Box' to showcase their favourite story. We had some amazing finished boxes and the children were so creative.

The children visited the Book Cafe where they explored our new range of books 'Little People Big Dreams'. Each group listened to a story about an influential person who has shaped history whilst enjoying a biscuit and hot chocolate.

In the afternoon, the classes were given a surprise bundle of books for their class library which were chosen by Year 6 when they visited Madeleine Lindley. They then shared some stories with the younger children.

We also launched our 'Book Swap' trolley and some children were able to swap some books which they had read and no longer wanted.

Finally, it was so lovely to see so many parents visiting after school to see our creations and talk about the day. We had such a great day and we can't wait to read our new books.

Thank you so much to our families for providing such great costumes.
