Children's Mental Health Week 2025

Children's Mental Health Week 2025

Children's Mental Health Week was 3rd-9th February. We celebrated this in school by completing daily activities and discussions around the theme  'Know yourself; grow yourself'.

Here are some examples of the work carried out this week:

Turing class:

This week, Turing class have been on showing gratitude and appreciation for things we have in our lives.

Turing class have been exploring self-awareness to embrace what makes us different to others. The children have found it important learning about this because it helps us to build resilience and to grow and develop as amazing people.

In addition, we have been discussing various adults we can go to when we are feeling various emotions and how it is ok to feel different ways about different situations. We also discussed how sometimes it is ok to not know what is causing us to feel a certain way but it is important to speak to trusted people to help us manage these feelings.

Furthermore, we have discussed many ways we can help our mental health like sleeping, doing some exercise, listening to music or watching a movie, reading a book, going for a walk and many more. Turing class shared some examples that they do already to help their mental health and how it helps them.
